pushing through one of those days
So today I am having one of those days where it's only God's Grace that has led me this far (9:32pm at the time of writing this). As in I am somewhere in between “I just want to grab a blanket turn off the lights and just hide or stay like a log in there”. Or “I just want to stuff my self with popcorn and watch emotional movies the whole day”. Have you ever had a day where you have no energy to smile. You are like please leave me alone...let's be real on the saved corner. Real life moments happen but Thank God because the Bible says
Hebrews 4:15 NIV
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
I think such days are the real “live by example, practice what you preach kind” of days. Hear me out…I think it's important to note that in the pursuit of divine identity and God. That we should realize that our divine identity does not make us super human. Being whole or pursuing the best version of who God created you to be doesn't make us then full proof or void of the need for God . Moreover, it doesn't mean I won't get tired or feel overwhelmed it just means that when I do God has given me Grace and equipped me to steward those moments of downfall and the people connected better then I would have before.
Still push through don't give up
Don't beat yourself up for feeling tired or overwhelmed. Don't beat yourself up for wanting to just watch a series or or rest instead of "pushing through". Don't beat yourself up for one of those "in a rut type" of days.
I do however want to suffix this by saying I worry at times that in the pursuit of advocating for mental health and rest. I fear that we have the potential to ; if we are not careful. To raise a lazy generation. A generation that doesn't have the gratification and fortitude that is bred as a result of pushing past discomfort. While I am saying don't feel bad. I am not saying throw your weapons down and retreat. By no means!
Thank God for being God
The rut is an uncomfortable place that we must work through and push through. I am just saying don't feel bad for not wanting to push through. Ok.
That is why we need God daily otherwise we would then want to make ourselves our own God. Also aren't you glad that God is God. Because He gets to make the hard decisions and you just follow
Whatever your burden is be encouraged today and put all your weights on God. God is still with you and God still loves you ❤️❤️
Take an opportunity of prayer
Heavenly Father God in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Thank you God for this day. Lord Thank you for making me to recognize that when I don't feel my best in a day. It does mean you have not set out your best for me in that day. Lord when I do not feel at my best may You show up and continue to show me why You Are The Best. Encourage me Lord even in these moments to be my best and may I always remember to serve you in everything because You deserve the best in Jesus Christ Mighty Name. I pray and as I pray so shall it be in Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen
I just want to encourage you before you go that whatever you are going through whether it is heartbreak or whether it is a difficult time, greiving or loneliness that God is always shining His light of favour and “push through” on you. I want to encourage you that no matter the face of opposition or slump you are working through. That God knows about you, God has got you, like got you, got you. Do not lose hope. God is here for you.
